Did you know that all areas from your body are reflexed on the hands? Well, at Riverpark Dental we care a lot about how you feel and we want you to get the most amazing experience while you get your dental treatment done. Paraffin wax treatment is an addition to enhance most treatments. Hot wax treatment relaxes the whole body by warming and relaxing the different systems. Your hands will be dipped two or three times quickly into a small tub of heated paraffin wax scented with soothing essential oils. Then, the wax will be covered in a plastic bag and wrapped in a warming gloves and you can relax as the benefits kick in. The wax will trap the heat against your skin as it hardens opening the pores. A soon as the wax is completely cooled, it will be removed taking dead skin cells along with it. A wax treatment acts as a type of thermotherapy, or heat therapy, that helps treat these conditions by increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles and reducing stiffness in joints.
After the treatment gets done, when the chair hits the upright position, your patient care specialist will assist you with your cup and any rinsing that you need to do. Following this, the patient care specialist will presents the warm/ cold towel to you by opening the sealed packet to wipe your face to conclude your appointment.
