This is the latest technology available in teeth whitening. Your first visit will last between 45-90 minutes where we will use the Zoom Whitening to whiten your teeth up to eight shades brighter. Before Whitening

As with any dental procedure, there are things to discuss before you set foot in the treatment room. For Phillips Zoom Whitening, one of our dentists at Riverpark Dental will need to determine if you are a candidate, and if you will benefit from the procedure. Your current overall health, dental health and dental hygiene practices will need to be evaluated.

We will also need to discuss your other dental health plans. If you are considering having restorative work done, such as veneers, crowns, or composite bonding, we would suggest to first do these procedures before doing Zoom Whitening. This is to make sure the shade of your restoration will match the natural shade of your teeth.

A common occurrence we notice amongst our patients is having teeth whitening prior to orthodontic treatment.

There are many methods for teeth whitening, and ultimately the one selected should have your best interest in mind for the most natural and marvelous smile possible, the longest lasting results and proven to work and be safe. It is best to select a method that uses a low percentage of hydrogen peroxide, and always should be administered by a dentist.

Phillip’s internal research team claims there is no other whitening procedure that can whiten your teeth as good as their Zoom Whitening system can.

Results are meant to last up to a year, but at Riverpark Dental we want your results to last as long as possible. To make this happen, we give you trays of whitening gel so you can maintain your shine even longer.

Of course, other factors influence how your teeth whitening will go. If you are a smoker, drink lots of coffee or soda or eat/drink other things that stain your teeth, this will limit your whitened time.

How is it done?

  1. We may recommend that you have a dental hygiene appointment with us so that your teeth are polished and prepared before starting your Zoom Whitening procedure.
  2. Your Zoom Whitening treatment begins with precautionary measures- we covered your lips and gums so that only your teeth are exposed. Next, the Zoom Whitening hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to your teeth and then scorched with the Zoom light. The two work together to blast away even the toughest stains.
  3. For a total of three 15 minute intervals, the gel and Zoom light will work on removing stains and revealing your beautiful white teeth. You’re welcome to read, watch TV, or simply relax during this time.
  4. Once 45 minutes has passed, we will combat any heightened teeth irritability with a sensitivity-reducing fluoride paste.
